World Book Day gives us the opportunity to celebrate authors, illustrators, books and (most importantly) reading. In fact, it's the biggest celebration of its kind, designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, and marked in over 100 countries all over the world.
All year groups at Forest have had a busy and rewarding time participating in an exciting programme of activities to celebrate World Book Week.
The children, who have all clearly made a great deal of effort, look tremendous in their costumes today! Teachers have been introduced to new book characters, as well as nostalgically reliving some old classics.
