Our Year 3 Romans visit Chester
Year 3 have enjoyed an informative and engaging day in Chester today. As part of their Roman topic, they started the visit by marching through the streets of Chester until their arrived at the amphitheatre. There they created a mock battle!
When they were back in the museum they looked around some fascinating artefacts and enjoyed a very informative and hands-on workshop leading all about the Roman way of life.
The children listened superbly and fully embraced life as a Roman citizen.

🌟 What a fantastic week in Year 6! 🌟
It has been a busy week of real life hands on learning.
🐑 Field to Fork: As part of our farming topic, we visited the Lambing Shed to learn how animals are cared for before visiting the butchers to see how meat is prepared. This gave us a brilliant field-to-fork experience, linking beautifully to our Flourish Character Education focus on caring for the environment, responsibility and understanding where our food comes from. 🌱
❤️ Science: We have been learning all about the heart, producing fantastic labelled drawings and exploring its structure and functions. Ambitious learning, year 7 ready.
🚑 First Aid: The British Red Cross joined us for a brilliant session learning life-saving first aid skills, including CPR. This linked perfectly with our ‘heart’ topic in Science.
Our week perfectly demonstrates our commitment to Flourish Character Education, in which we strive to develop the whole child beyond academic skills, equipping our children with knowledge, confidence, responsibility and practical skills for life. 💚👏
