This half term the the Art Room has been a hive of artistic activity. The children have explored texture and colour, through a range of exciting art projects, taking inspiration from renowned artists.
Kindergarten created clay tiles and experimented with line printing inspired by Marta Minujín.
Reception used wax resist for space-themed art and built ‘Litter Bugs’ from recycled materials.
Year 1 explored watercolour techniques and created Paul Klee-inspired cityscapes.
Year 2 experimented with expressive painting influenced by Van Gogh and Cézanne.
Year 3 combined cloth, thread, and paint for mixed-media art and painted landscapes.
Year 4 studied Cézanne’s still life, comparing traditional and modern approaches.
Year 5 explored set design and landscape, focusing on composition and perspective.
Year 6 created canvas self-portraits, reflecting on identity, culture, and personal experiences.
