This half term, we have welcomed a host of educational visitors to Forest, all with the shared goal of enriching the children's learning.
Author: Ian Brown
Many thanks to Albert Tortoise author, Ian Brown, for visiting Forest last week.
He held workshops with Kindergarten to Year 2 and they learned all about the life of an author (and tortoises too!) Ian shared his books with the children; Albert Upside Down, Albert and the Wind and Albert Supersize.
Manchester Fire Service
Linking with their current topic, People Who Help Us, Nursery and Kindergarten welcomed Manchester Fire Service. They had a look and sat inside the fire engine and learned about the tools they may use in an emergency.
Mrs Giouras' Greek Feast
To mark the end of their topic on Ancient Greece, after working so hard on their assessments all morning, Year 5 were treated to a fantastic Greek Feast, courtesy of PG’s mum.
A huge thank you to PG’s mum for giving up her time to prepare and serve the wonderful food. The children (and staff!) thoroughly enjoyed it!
