Hosted by Mr Francis, our Writers' Assemblies are an opportunity for talented writers, from Reception to Year 6, to share their amazing work with the rest of the school.
Often nominated by their teachers, pupils are called to the front to discuss their exceptional piece of writing with their peers; whether it is expository, descriptive, narrative, persuasive or a diary/journal piece, children stand tall and talk with great pride about their piece.
Not only is writing a principal skill in helping children to become better overall communicators and improving reading, it is also a powerful tool used to express thoughts and emotions for those children who may not always feel comfortable expressing themselves verbally.
Well done to all those children who demonstrated that they are The Greatest Writer in their class this half term.
