The variety of sporting activities offered at Forest is something which we are not only renowned for but extremely proud of.
Thanks to the dedication of Ms. Forster, Mr. Francis and the support of all staff members, we are able to offer external sporting opportunities for our children.
This academic year has gotten off to a fantastic start: seeing new faces competing in the John Leigh Cross Country running, teamwork evident in our first match of the football season and Year 2 enjoying their new topic of orienteering.
In addition, Forest Prep's Under 11's water polo team fought strongly to retain their North West title at a Manchester swimming arena last week. They lost only once prior to arriving in the semi-finals, where they were only beaten on sudden-death penalties after an epic 2-2 encounter in normal time. Mr. Hyde, as ever, was so proud of their teamwork, attitude, and sportsmanship. The mixed team of two Year 5 and seven Year 6 children should be very proud of their achievements and it makes the school even more determined to retain their Under 9's title later in the year.
