This half-term our Year 6 children participated in a hands-on Science STEM enrichment session led by Mrs Stokes. As a new initiative, Mrs Stokes will be teaching Science enrichment sessions throughout the year. The sessions are designed to engage the children in interactive learning, allowing them to explore key scientific concepts through practical activities.
Throughout today's Year 6 session, the children demonstrated great enthusiasm and curiosity. They were involved in a variety of experiments and problem-solving tasks that helped them to deepen their understanding of scientific principles. Mrs Stokes encouraged critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills, which contributed to a positive and collaborative learning environment.
The students particularly enjoyed the opportunities to apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios, reinforcing their classroom learning. They not only had fun, but also gained valuable insights into the practical applications of science, further sparking their interest in STEM fields.
Overall, the session was a success, with students leaving feeling motivated and excited about science. They learned new skills and concepts that will undoubtedly support their ongoing academic development.
