Showcasing our Beautiful Singing: Altrincham Music Festival

The Altrincham and District Festival has played a key role in our calendar for more than 20 years, with two former Forest staff, James Pearson and Anna Wright, giving many hours of their time volunteering.

To start proceedings, our Choir sang both their songs (Amani Utupe and Right Royal Do) with precision and style. Ms Wellings was delighted with them!

After lunch, it was the turn of our younger Foresters to take to the stage. Ms Wellings  said, “ Year 1 were outstanding at the Altrincham Festival this afternoon. They represented the school with pride and the adjudicator commented on both their accurate singing and obvious enjoyment of their songs.”

The Greenhouse Choir from Years 2 and 3 performed “Windmill in Old Amsterdam” and possibly their favourite song ever, “Nursery Rhyme Nonsense”! Ms Wellings said she was, “immensely proud of this group-they are talented, hardworking and great fun!”

Many thanks to all the parents and families for supporting the children.
