Shining staff!

Shining staff!

All our staff work incredibly hard and fly the Forest flag high. We are honoured and excited to announce that two of our staff have been recognised in their fields..

Mrs Johal

Firstly, our very own Mrs Johal has been shortlisted for a Tes Schools Award in the category of Teaching Assistant of the Year. The Tes Schools Awards are now in their 15th year, and recognise the very best teachers and schools from UK state and independent.

Mrs Johal, said: “ I am completely overwhelmed. I love my job and the great team spirit we have at Forest School, I wouldn’t be able to do it without a great team around me. All the children are so very special to me.”

Mr Booth said:  “We are delighted that Mrs Johal has been shortlisted and that all her hard-work and dedication has been recognised. We are truly honoured that she has been recognised amongst hundreds of entries. The children, her colleagues and parents, past and present, hold her in the highest regard for all that she does, day-in day-out.”

On Friday 23rd June, Mr Booth and Mrs Johal will be heading to London to the Grosvenor Park Hotel where the winners will be announced.

We hope Mrs Johal will bring the trophy home!

Mrs T

Moving on to Mrs T, our Forest Fit Club teacher (and Forest parent) has been selected to join the European Masters Championship, 2023 which is being held in Waterford, Ireland and runs from 12th May until 20th May.  Mrs T will be representing the UK, she is presently 3rd in the UK Olympic weightlifting team.
