One Kind Word: Anti-Bullying Week

One Kind Word: Anti-Bullying Week

Anti-Bullying Week is coordinated In England and Wales by the Anti-Bullying Alliance and took place from 15 to 19 November 2021. It had the theme ‘One Kind Word’. The week began with Odd Socks Day, which was supported by CBBC and CBeebies star Andy Day and his band ‘Andy and the Odd Socks.’

This linked in seamlessly with our current Relationships and PSHE topic ‘Valuing Difference,’ where all classes have been learning to embrace their differences.

On Monday 15th November, we were treated to a wonderful array of odd socks and children explored the reasoning behind it: an opportunity to encourage people to express themselves and celebrate their individuality and what makes us all unique and also, to have fun!
