Music Captain Strikes a Chord at the ISA Young Musician Competition Final

Forest School's Music Captain dazzled as a National Finalist at ISA Young Musician Competition!

This week, our extraordinarily talented Music Captain performed 'Song of Twilight' on the piano at the Independent Schools Association young musician competition held at Oxford University. After the performance she said: “I was quite nervous prior to my performance but I really enjoyed the day. Listening to everyone perform was moving and inspirational. I also received some invaluable feedback on the piece I played, which will be very useful when I take my imminent piano exam.”

Securing a spot among the final 15 contestants out of hundreds from across the UK is truly an outstanding accomplishment. Ms Wellings, our Director of Music, praised her dedication and musicianship,  "I am tremendously proud of our Music Captain.  To reach the National Final is a huge achievement and is the result of diligent practice and a focus on creating a beautiful sound on the piano."

Congratulations - we look forward to hearing of our Music Captain’s continued success in the world of music! #TheForestWay
