Easter Eggstravaganza

Easter Eggstravaganza

As always, as we break up for Easter, we made sure the last day was filled with making many happy memories at our special ‘Spring Festival’.

Nursery and Kindergarten kick started the day with the adorable Easter Bonnet parade. The children performed a procession around the school grounds proudly showcasing their masterpieces. The rest of the school, plus parents and grandparents, lined the route to cheer our youngest Foresters.

Following the parade, each class took part in springtime and Easter activities. Kindergarten made and painted spring flowers and took part in singing and dancing to lots of uplifting spring-time songs.Year 2 got crafty and had a very busy day creating chick baskets out of net, Easter wooden hanging decorations and Easter cards. Year 5 and 6 had fun but kept a focus on the academic side! They took part in Easter-themed Maths calculations and wrote their own spring poetry using figurative language.

The day finished off with the famous Easter Egg hunt, which as you can imagine, is a real favourite for so many pupils. Kindly funded and organised by our fantastic PA, eggs were hidden around the school grounds and the children searched for their very own egg.

In spirit of true Forest ‘kindness’, many children brought in an Easter Egg to donate. All donations were sent to a local foodbank, continuing our tradition of helping those less fortunate than ourselves.

A fun-filled day was had by all #theforestway!
