Christmas Celebrations at Forest

Christmas Celebrations at Forest

At Forest, the children work incredibly hard throughout the year, so it’s only fitting that they are treated to a host of festive activities.

The holiday season began with the Kindergarten children delighting their parents and grandparents with a charming nativity performance. It was a truly heartwarming event that left everyone feeling extremely proud and full of festive joy.

Our festive cheer extended to the entire Forest community with our much-loved Carols in the Grounds. The children looked wonderful in their festive accessories as they sang a selection of traditional Christmas carols, including the iconic Forest rendition of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Following the carols, the PA Christmas Fair brought even more excitement, with the children thrilled to visit Father Christmas in his grotto. The event raised significant PA funds to support the school’s development plans with the children at the heart of all our work.

The final week of school before the Christmas break was packed with celebrations.  The children joyfully enjoyed the famous ‘Chef Simon’s Christmas Lunch.’ The school hall was full of festive cheer as crackers were pulled and children happily ate to some of their favourite Christmas songs. The next day, the entire school set off on Christmas trips: Nursery and Kindergarten visited a farm to meet a very special guest, Lower School enjoyed a magical trip to the theatre, and Upper School enjoyed lunch and a game of bowling at Atlantic Bowl.

The week culminated in the highly anticipated 100th Lower School Nativity, a milestone performance held in the beautiful Altrincham United Reformed Church, brimming with character and charm.

Finally, the festive season wrapped up with the Upper School Christmas Carol Service at St. Peter’s in Hale. Each class performed beautifully, spreading holiday cheer to all in attendance. On the last day of term, the whole school embraced the Christmas spirit by wearing Christmas jumpers to raise funds for the Little Green Sock Project.
