Channelling Challenge

Channelling Challenge

Here at Forest, the staff team remains passionate in encouraging children to feel confident in challenging themselves; offering support and guidance to the children and encouraging pupils to work as a team in taking on higher order material or problem-solving scenarios at a greater depth.

In Upper School, Year 4 have been working extremely hard on equivalent decimal and percentage games. Children put their fastest fingers first, as it resulted in a competitive team game to test their application of knowledge.

Over the past few weeks, Year 5 have been perfecting their long division strategies, as well as practising their non-verbal reasoning skills and making an informative booklet for how to use apostrophes correctly.

Reception have taken part in their first spelling test and in Kindergarten, Mr Bullock has been busy challenging the children to improve their fine motor skills and coordination in computing lessons, whilst simultaneously working on some basic adding!

Whatever the challenge, our Foresters are always keen to get stuck in and have a go- determination which we actively encourage throughout pupils time here.
