Celebrations have begun for the Centenary Year

Celebrations have begun for the Centenary Year

This September marked a significant milestone for us as we celebrate Forest's 100th year. We kicked off our centenary celebrations with a delightful coffee morning that reunited our wonderful Forest families, hosted by our brilliant PA. After a summer break, everyone was happy to catch up and talk about their cherished Forest memories.

As the children entered the school grounds for our centenary year, they were thrilled to see the new graffiti artwork that tells the story of Forest, highlighting our pets, values, and inter school Houses. All children and staff received a commemorative pin badge featuring our centenary logo. This emblem will be a symbol throughout our 100th year, and these badges will serve as keepsakes for all involved.

Our centenary year will be filled with exciting events and celebrations. Highlights include planting a time capsule, a Gala Concert at the renowned Stoller Hall, and tours for past pupils to revisit the school and enjoy afternoon teas. The grand finale will be ‘Forest Fest,’ a great party to celebrate our 100th year with all pupils and parents. Stay tuned for more details as plans are revealed at a later date.

As we look forward to the year ahead, it's also a great time to reflect on Forest's journey over the past century. Explore our gallery to see how the school looked in 1924, although Forest in 2024 looks very different, it is still recognisable with many of the original features remaining.
