An Excellent End to a Peculiar Year: A Thank You From Us

An Excellent End to a Peculiar Year: A Thank You From Us

This week marks the end to, what has been, a very strange academic year and I could not be prouder to be a part of such a hardworking, highly motivated and community-based school. Staff and parents alike have truly excelled in their approach to both the remote learning, which was thrust upon them, and in their commitment to the children’s learning, for those who have returned to school. In times of uncertainty and need, true colours really do show and as a school, ours have shone through brightly in true Forest style. I am signing off the year knowing I am very fortunate to be a part of such a dedicated team.

After speaking with the staff, I know that they have all thoroughly enjoyed teaching their classes this year and will be sorry to see them moving up to their next teacher. At the same time, the transition meetings and face-to-face introductions have given them a taste of their new cohorts, to which they all look forward to teaching come September.

As always, we will be wishing our fantastic Year 6 children all the very best at their new schools, where I know they will continue to flourish. It has been an absolute pleasure to have had each and every one as a pupil at Forest and I would like to personally thank them, many who I have known since Nursery, for contributing hugely to school life.

It has been another very successful and positive year at Forest and I wish you all our Forest families, and prospective Forest families, a safe and relaxing summer break.
