As we reach the end of this very special autumn term, it’s a pleasure to reflect on the many highlights that have made it such a memorable and rewarding time at Forest Prep.
One of the most cherished moments of the term was undoubtedly our Centenary Gala Concert in November. This magical evening saw our Upper School students come together to showcase their exceptional talents in a celebration of music, creativity, and community. The joy and pride shared by everyone in attendance truly captured the essence of what makes Forest so unique.
We were delighted to welcome the newest members of our school family into Nursery this term — our 100th cohort of Foresters! Watching them settle into the vibrant life of the school has been a privilege, and their energy and enthusiasm are a reminder of the strong foundation our school continues to build upon.
This term has also been a time of remarkable growth and achievement. Each class has made outstanding progress, and it has been heartening to see the determination and dedication of our pupils, teachers, and parents working together. The journey of learning is a continuous one, and this term’s efforts set a brilliant precedent for the year ahead.
I want to extend heartfelt thanks to Mr Rimmer for his excellent work with Year 3 this term and to Mrs Stokes for delivering fantastic PE lessons that have inspired a love of fitness and teamwork in our pupils. We also eagerly anticipate welcoming Mrs Eley back to Forest Prep in the new year.
As December unfolds, we are reminded of the magic that Christmas brings to our school. The festive decorations, nativity plays, and seasonal celebrations have fostered an incredible sense of togetherness. It is in these moments of community and shared joy that we see the heart of Forest Prep.
I am continually reminded that being the Headmaster of this school is the best job in the world. This term, I’ve been especially proud of the collaborative spirit of our school community. I’d like to thank the Parents’ Association and Bellevue Education for their generosity and vision in creating our wonderful new play area, which will undoubtedly bring so much joy to our pupils when we return in January.
This term has been a fantastic start to Forest Prep’s centenary year, and I am excited to see what the spring term will bring. As we head into the Christmas break, I wish you all a joyful and restful holiday season. Here’s to a wonderful 2025!
Merry Christmas and best wishes to all,
Graeme Booth
