'On Friday 8th March, I went to Sheffield with my synchronised skating team-Altair- to participate in our first competition, the Steel City Trophy.
Altair is one of three teams that form part of Altrincham Synchro Club. Every week, we have one ice practise from 6am – 7am before school and then off-ice training at the weekend.
We arrived on Thursday night and had a team breakfast Friday morning. The rest of the day was spent off-ice training, official skating practice and finally performing in our elementary category. When it came to our turn to perform, we all smiled and skated the best we could. We achieved an amazing first score of 17.78 coming fourth, only 0.67 away from bronze and 1.19 away from gold.
It was an amazing experience with lots of excitement which made the early morning training sessions worthwhile.
One of the photographs is me with my team, and the second, me with fellow club member, ex-Forester, Tilly.'
