Our new Reception class has made a wonderful start to the school year and are coming into Forest every morning with big smiles and bags of enthusiasm! In Reception, we aim to foster independence and a ‘can do’ attitude to develop a lifelong love of learning. This is already being demonstrated with this class; organising their bags, snacks and bottles in the morning with great confidence and also settling down industriously to group work in the classroom.
The children have enjoyed getting to know their new classroom environment and resources, making and playing happily with new friends and a wide variety of exciting activities based around the Early Years Curriculum. The children are bursting with enthusiasm and Mrs Howland and Mrs Thomson are delighted with how quickly the class have settled in. Well done to all our pupils and parents for such a positive start to the Reception year!
