PE- Challenge Yourself Tuesdays

PE- Challenge Yourself Tuesdays

Learning from home has done little to stop our Forest Upper School from going about their ‘normal’ daily routines, including PE sessions.

Upper school children have been completing various different ‘Tuesday Challenges’ in a bid to continue to develop their PE skills and knowledge. Last Tuesday was the Jump Challenge. With minimal equipment, children were asked to experiment to see how far they could jump, with varying factors e.g. using a run up, not using arms etc. Including an element of maths (measuring and finding the average), science (changing certain variables and the experimental recording) and PE, this cross-curricular activity was met with great motivation.

In true Forest style, the children stepped up to the challenge, with some very impressive results.

A special mention goes to SW, in Year 5 for successfully (and very impressively!) completing a special challenge set to her by Timperley FC. She managed to kick a football into a bin from quite a way out- well done SW!
