Over the past few weeks, I could not be more proud of our whole school community and its coming together at this most challenging of times.
As parents at Forest, you have been hugely supportive of all that the school has been trying to achieve through remote learning. The photographs and emails that have been sent from home have been so lovely to see and read as has the unrelenting encouragement that you have provided your children.
The staff, as ever, have risen to every challenge. They have been asked to train in online platforms and then to deliver quality learning from their own homes in such a short time span. Whilst doing this, they have provided strong communication with parents and guidance for their classes. They have also provided unstinting daily care and support for key workers and their families.
The children have taken superbly to their new form of learning. Through both Google Classroom and Google Meet we can see their engagement and work ethic alongside their fantastic manners and ‘classroom’ etiquette.
Thanks to everyone for playing their part and on behalf of us all, a huge thank you to our NHS and key worker parents for all they are doing on our behalf.
Please stay safe and hopefully we will all be back again at Forest very soon.
